And just to clarify (too late, after the fact etc) when I say "text file" I am including .m3u and its ilk. Basically a list of songs and no audio files. Just. Like a list. Could even be in a toot

Like if I were to make someone a mixtape I would definitely *include* a playlist, but I don't think of the tape itself as a playlist
But again, we have established already that I am a dinosaur in that way
When someone says "make my friend a playlist" I think of handing a friend a bunch of song titles scribbled on a napkin and saying "welp here's some stuff I think you might like, good luck finding them"
